Second Saturday Breakfast

Be a host for one our Second Saturday Community Breakfasts.  Our hope is that Second Saturday Community Breakfasts is a “kingdom meal" where we share a meal with people in our neighborhood.  As a host you will provide the meal for 25 – 50 people and eat with our neighbors. To learn more about this opportunity click here: Second Saturday Community Breakfasts.

JUNIOR LEadership

Youth ages 6th - 12th grade are invited to participate in Youth Leadership camp to train to be a junior leader volunteer at our "express yourself" camps.  Youth will learn best practices in working with children and have the opportunity to volunteer at one to two camps over the summer.  They will assist in helping kids with activties and help lead cooperative games and devotions.

School Site Partnership

URBAN ACT Academy is our neighborhood boundry school. One of our values is to be wholistic in our approach and we want to support the children during the school day as well. This opportunity takes place during the school day. If you are able to give an hour a week of your lunch time we would love for you to volunteer tutoring a Kindergarten student at UAA. Check out our School Site Volunteer Description.

Short Term Volunteer Opportunities

There are a variety of short term volunteer opportunities that require a small commitment of time.  During IPS school breaks we offer “express yourself” enrichment camps focused on the arts. If you have a special talent in art, photography or cooking or would like to volunteer as a helper contact Heidi Lyda to inquire about the theme and dates at heidi@lynhouse.org. An additional opportunity is to be a basketball coach during the winter season.
