AFTER SCHOOL TUTORING

At LYN House, we provide afterschool, one-on-one tutoring to children in kindergarten through fifth grade. All students are matched with either a staff member or trained volunteer to work on various academic skills. We do not just do the child's homework; instead we assess their needs when we first meet to determine lessons that will bridge any gaps they may have. Lessons are tailored to each student's needs.

LITERACY

While we are able to provide tutoring for any subject area, we specialize in early literacy. All of our staff members are trained in the Orton Gillingham phonics methodology of the science of reading. Staff members create phonics lessons for each student to help teach early literacy skills. If your child is struggling to master beginning reading skills, we might be a great fit for you!
